Enrolling Students

Students must be registered annually. Parents can now complete much of this process through Skyward during our annual online registration period. Fees can be paid online using a credit card, or paid in person at your child's school or by personal check or cash.
Download a copy of the 2017 Back To School Flyer, sent home to students each May, and distributed through the Galesburg Register Mail each summer.

Enrolling a student for the first time

The first step toward enrolling your student in District #205 is visiting the school nearest your home. Please see our interactive school boundary map to zoom into your residence & find out which school your student will attend.

When you visit your student's school, please bring the following information to start building your student's enrollment records:
  • Previous school Transcripts (HS Students only)
  • IL Good Standing form (if coming from another IL school)
  • Certified Copy of Students birth certificate
  • IL Physical Exam with immunization records
  • Vision/Dental Exams
  • Any Special Education information

Next, a username & password will be created for yourself and your student(s). This access will allow you to monitor your child's grades and progress during their learning experiences, make online payments, and receive vital information alerts when needed. Office staff at your student's new school will be happy to assist you with this during your visit.

Last, you'll need to pay the appropriate registration fees so your child can start attending school as soon as possible. Fees can be paid at your child's school using cash, checks, or credit cards. Some fees can be paid online, also.

If you need any assistance with this process, please contact your child's school or call the Central Office at 309/973.2000 during regular business hours.
